Sleep
well, sleeping deeply, geting good rest - treating
insomnia ...
There can be a variety of reasons why we have trouble
sleeping. It could be that it's an ingrained habit
that we need to break from. We may have all sorts of
things on our minds that we try to deal with when we
stop the day's activities.
It may even be that at some point in the past
something happened that made our subconscious mind
decide that it was unsafe or unwise to sleep the
whole night through.
Often, simply the worry of not being able to get to
sleep prevents us from doing so, it can be a vicious
circle, the less sleep we get the more worried we
become… (in this situation it can sometimes help if
we ask ourselves what’s the worst thing that can
happen if I don’t get any sleep tonight?)
Insomnia responds very well to Hypnotherapy and good
therapist looks at each individual's reasons for
their difficulties with sleep and will tailor the
therapy accordingly. Often a hypnotherapist will also
provide a cd or tape which can be played at bed time
in order to relax and lull the client to sleep with
suggestions that the sleep will be a deep and
satisfying one.
The subconscious mind seems very capable of waking us
up during the night. Most people have had the
experience of waking seconds before the alarm goes
off. If you go to bed thinking that you need to wake
at a certain time the chances are that you will do
just that.
So if you go to bed sure that you'll wake up in the
night and stay awake then its likely to happen. If
you go to bed sure you won't get to sleep then
chances are you won't. You send the messages to your
subconscious mind and your mind responds
appropriately. You need to learn how to send the
right kinds of messages, you need to be going to
sleep thinking and feeling that you are going to
sleep deeply and easily all night long. For this
hypnosis is a wonderful tool. And in addition to the
way hypnosis can be used to send the right messages
most people report that they sleep very well after a
hypnosis session of any sort. Hypnosis seems to
really aid sleep in so many ways...
