Working
with dreams..
Our subconscious mind holds memories of all our
experiences, it is our subconscious that is the seat of
imagination, emotion and habits and is through the
subconscious that we can gain access to our
superconsciousness and intuition. It is responsible for
regulating our autonomic body functions and is at the very
core of who we are and how we experience the world.
Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis called the
interpretation of dreams ‘the royal road to the
unconscious’ Fritz Perls, the father of Gestalt therapy
called them the 'Royal road to integration’
We can use Jungian type dream analysis to gain insight into
what our dreams are telling us and we can use Gestalt
techniques combined with hypnotherapy in order to re-enter
our dreams and work with them directly to bring about
profound subconscious shifts, it is through a shift in our
subconscious that meaningful personal transformation, inner
growth and healing can occur.
We can learn a great deal from working with our dreams.
Recurring dreams and nightmares often have a message for
us, by understanding what this message is we have a key to
our own growth as well as the end of the recurring
dream!
